USCIS Placing More People In Removal Proceedings

U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services has announced a memorandum of understanding with Immigration & Customs Enforcement that indicates that USCIS will be placing more people into removal (deportation) proceedings than it has in the past.  USCIS will begin looking more closely at the immigration status of persons submitting immigration applications to determine whether they are in a lawful immigration status or not.  Care should be taken prior to filing any immigration application to examine all possible adverse consequences.
