Liberian TPS Extended Final Time

U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services announced today that it is extending Temporary Protected Status for Liberian citizens one more year before terminating the designation on October 1, 2007.  Re-registration is open until November 20, 2006.  Employment authorization is automatically extended six months while registrations are processed.  See the USCIS press release here.  Liberian citizens currently holding TPS status need to spend the next year seeking alternative visas in they intend to remain in the U.S. beyond October 1, 2007.
